The Standard Package Premium is £179.20 including 12% Insurance Premium Tax plus £10 administration charge.
This provides cover up to the amounts shown in the summary where there are no more than: -

THREE PRODUCTIONS PER YEAR

50 MEMBERS OF YOUR SOCIETY INVOLVED IN ANY ONE PRODUCTION.

An increased premium will apply where you require cover in excess of the minimum amounts or where you stage more than three productions per year and/ or more than 50 members are involved in any one production.

1 -Material Damage

The policy covers your property anywhere within the United Kingdom and up to 30 days in Europe in any period of insurance for an amount of £6,180 including whilst property is in transit.

The sum insured can be increased for an additional premium. You should ensure that the sum insured is adequate to replace the property insured or a claim payment may be reduced to reflect underinsurance.

What is insured:

Damage to scenery, properties, wardrobe, sound, lighting, video equipment, musical scores, instruments and promotional material up to the sum insured.

Personal belongings of members, employees and visitors up to £500 any one person.

Tools up to £500.

Office contents.

Replacement locks following loss of keys up to £250.

Additional hire charges following damage to the original hired property as well as charges incurred for its non-return.

Money in transit, in attended premises or in locked safe £1,000, in your home £500, or in unattended premises £250.

What is not insured:

The first £100 of each and every claim.

Mechanical or electrical breakdown.

Wear and tear, breakage of strings, reeds or drum heads.

Theft, storm, flood or malicious damage to property in the open.

Loss from unattended vehicle unless locked at all points of access.

2 - Liabilities


The Policy covers your legal liabilities to employees and to third parties.

What is insured:

Employer’s Liability up to £10,000,000 limit of liability.

Public Liability up to £2,000,000 limit of liability. (This can be increased to £5,000,000 for a small additional charge).

Products Liability for promotional goods or material, sets or properties hired out to a third party or food or beverages for consumption at the venue.

Cover applies in the United Kingdom and up to 30 days in Europe in any one period of insurance.

Member to Member Liability

Indemnity to public or local authority or other principal.

What is not insured:

Injury or disease sustained on or in transit to any offshore installation.

Liability for which compulsory motor insurance is required under Road Traffic legislation.

Damage to property belonging to you or held in trust by you, borrowed, rented , leased or hired for use by you (other than a building temporarily occupied by you).

Liquidated damages, fines or penalties.

3 - Cancellation


The Policy covers loss of expenses for an amount of £1,500 any production or series of productions in one period of insurance. The limits can be increased for an additional premium.

What is insured:

Irrecoverable loss of expenses arising from the unavoidable cancellation or postponement of a performance or performances due to any unforeseen cause which is outside your control.

Additional expenses reasonably and necessarily incurred by you specifically to prevent cancellation or postponement of a performance or performances.

Additional expense incurred in obtaining the services of a substitute for any principal role to prevent cancellation or postponement of a performance or performances.

What is not insured:

Cancellation or postponement arising from inability or failure of any principal to perform. ­ unless due solely to accidental bodily injury or illness and where no substitute is available. ­ due to death, injury, loss or disablement caused by any pre-existing physical weakness, disease or previous injury. ­ due to death, injury, loss or disablement caused by hazardous pursuit.

Poor attendance or inadequate funding.

Adverse weather conditions where performances are in the open.

Any labour dispute within your control.

4 - Personal Accident

The Policy covers you and any of your members, directors or employees over 4 and under 75 years against accidental bodily injury by violent, external and visible means whilst engaged in activities in connection with the society including travelling, for the amounts shown below: -
